A Cook's Café serves only locally grown and sustainable produce and meats. That may mean some foods are available on a seasonal basis — like our Eastern Shore Asparagus. We are now using Eastern Shore grown, Davon Crest lettuces in our salads. They are harvested the day before we serve them to you. They are fresh, organic and substantially lower our (yours and my) carbon footprint. We will keep you abreast of new changes.
We are a small independent bookstore offering used, rare and remarkable books. Our mission is to sell books to entertain, inform, educate and promote community at all levels (local, state, national and global) through quality literature and related art forms. We specialize in maritime history, sailing, the classics and anything that strikes our fancy. We strive to provide entertaining, imaginative and challenging programs that celebrate the art of the story.
As interest in sustainable building grows, it only makes sense to consider green options for the highest energy using room in the home-the family kitchen.
